The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has described the death of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oluwafunminiyi Afuye, as a huge loss to the body of Speakers in Nigeria. Dr. Obasa added that the news of Speaker Afuye's death was more devastating knowing that he was reportedly active and showed no signs of illness days before his demise at age 66. The Lagos Speaker, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Eromosele Ebhomele, called Afuye, a "fine gentleman whose experiences have contributed to the advancement of Nigeria's democracy. Zaniab Ahmed is the new acting minister for finance. Zaniab Ahmed was born in 1960 ,and she is from Kaduna state . Zanaib is a graduate of Ahmadu bello university with a degree in Accounting in 1981 .she did not stop there she proceed to university in Ogun state (Agan woye) she got her MBA there .immediately after her graduation she was employed with Kaduna state in ministry of finance as a young bright accountant ,but she has an ambition of becoming the state Accountant general in her state . With her good merit she was appointed the chief of finance officer of Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications (MTEL) in September 2005 ,its 13 years now before been announced as the acting finance minister in September 20018. She holds fellowship of Association of National accountants of Nigerian (ANAN ) and a member of Nigeria institute Taxation ,Nigeria institute of Management . She also the current Minister for Budget and National Planning .
